Chinese Warring States period

The warring states period in ancient Chinese history led to the eventual unification of china under the Qin dynasty. While I am using the concept of the warring states as a foundation for the narrative of my project I'm not replicating directly off leading characters or technologies during the Warring States. However I am investing some time into researching the period and seeing if there is anything I can take into my own project to give my narrative some grounding and help develop a history/timeline that leads up to the period I will be working with.

The warring states period in china take places from 475-221 BC starting in the later years in the Zhou Dynasty ending with its fall and the beginning of the Qin Dynasty. During this time China was divided between seven sates; Zhao,Yan, Wei, Qi, Qin han and Chu. All were at war but Qin (lead by Qin Shi Huang who would later found a unified China under the Qin dynasty) largely benefited from the other states who had been weakened by warfare. Qin could easily take advantage of the neighboring states such as Han, Wei, Zhao and Chu.
